Blind Prevention

Tapasya conducts general eye and health checkups with the help of doctors who volunteer for this noble service. We conduct free medical health checkups to the people living in slums. We learned that counseling is badly needed for women to maintain their health; mainly we found that nutritional value in their diet was missing for various reasons. No strong evidence, we could find; but our belief gained strength that poor diet contributes to early cataract/eye disorders among women and children. However, we ensure that they receive spectacles right after check-up and others are assisted to get their cataract treated at the earliest. To conduct these essential services we need dedicated resources so that we can reach out to far remote areas of villages and tribal areas
